WWF 'Earth Hour 2010'

Have you ever wondered what practical action you or your church can take to raise awareness of climate change?

Well, WWF's 'Earth Hour 2010' may be right up your street!

On Saturday 27th March 2010 at 8:30pm, WWF want a billion people around the world to switch of their lights for one hour - Earth's Hour.

New Officers

CTM8 is very excited that it has elected 2 new Officers!

The new Chair is Simon Dean.

The new Secretary is Martin Knight.

We give thanks that Hilda Bull was elected to continue as Treasurer.

So many people have given of their time and energy to serve CTM8 over the years. A particular thanks must go to Winifred Bell who served us so ably as Secretary.

Lenten Study for 2010

This years course is called 'Love for the Future' and follows these 6 weekly themes:

1. Respect
2. Compassion
3. Justice
4. Simplicity
5. Repentance
6. Hope

Several churches will be using or adapting this pack at different times during the week, so you can pick whichever you prefer.

- The Parish of Cheetham (St.John's and Trinity United Church) are using the pack in discussion groups during normal Sunday Services.

- St Thomas are meeting on Wednesdays at 12noon.

- The Methodist Church with those from St Matthew's on Tuesday's at 7:30pm.
